Food Trip - Zubuchon

Since last year, I have read raves about Zubuchon. So prior to our Cebu vacation, I really made sure to include it in my to-do eat list.

Having read that Zubuchon has three (3) branches in Cebu, we decided to go to Banilad Town Center only to find that they have closed their branch there. That leaves us their Mango and Escario branches. It was already past 7 o'clock in the evening so from Banilad, we headed to Escario since it was nearer.

When we arrived, the place was crowded. The waiters were busy so we helped ourselves in finding a table upstairs. When we settled to the only vacant table, we immediately asked for the menu and of course, we had to wait some minutes to be entertained as the waiters were very busy. Like I said, the place was crowded and considering it was a Sunday, with the church nearby, people came in large groups. By the time the waiter took our orders, it also took long for us to be served with our food.

But it was worth the wait.

The interior is not really dark. It looks dim in the picture because I focused on the light fixtures.

A variety of sauce/flavouring to choose from.

Our meal:

Zubuchon

T told me that the 1/2 kilo was too much for two persons. I assured him that we will have it takeout if there's a leftover. Turned out there was no leftover! The lechon was crispy and delicious. I swore it was the best lechon ever!

Dinuguan

It was so-so. I still prefer Goldilucks' Dinuguan

Adobong Kangkong (with Chicharon on top)

Yes, I love Kangkong. We ordered this to compensate for the high cholesterol meals.

For drinks, we ordered Kamias shake.

Though I have always preferred Mango when it comes to smoothies or shakes, I decided to try this because it was said to be a bestseller. As expected from Kamias, it was sour but complements well with the pork overload.

Price is affordable. Service was OK. I would suggest for them to increase their manpower (even just for weekends) considering the number of customers.
