Today marks the fourth year of our couple-hood, and the first anniversary of our marriage!
(We intentionally dated our marriage on the same day we became ’we’)
I would be lying if I say that I’m happy today because I’m not. My current state of emotion is, maybe, a few notches short towards ‘that’ adjective.
Taking a trip back to memory lane, like most couples, we went through petty fights and so far, no huge argument in record (and if there was, I don’t think I have the guts to share it to the public, lol). The distance, I think, is making any huge fight impossible to arise. Or maybe we are just too damn happy that there’s no room for hatred to grow. Like I mentioned, petty arguments are present but we seem to handle it by reaching a common ground and accept the fact that we are different, or in most cases, we both just shut up until a new inspiration for discussion comes to mind.
Come next year, I vow to be next to him. Seriously.
So, why wait for next year? (1) I stand by my word. I have an existing contract that will end next year --- unless the company decides to cut it short. (2) Both of us will be turning 30, and it’s about time to just be together --- as expected from married couples, lol. (3) I’ve been often told that women in their 30s will be having a hard time getting pregnant. Uh-huh..(4) It’s the 2010 Presidential Elections, and I want to make sure my husband will be voting for the same candidate as mine. Go Fr. Panlilo!!
Wait. Halle Berry gave birth at 40. But wait, she IS ‘Halle Berry’. I’m just a nobody.
Speaking of babies, during our recent trip back home, being married with no offspring (yet) inevitably made us the topic of familial conversation. Our relatives were checking my belly for signs of life. I knew baby questions were coming, and T and I have prepared to brace ourselves, lol. Some were even too excited about the prospect that my younger sisters-in-law seriously suggested names for my yet to be conceived kiddo…and these are:
Male: Alexander Ian
Female: Fressia something (I forgot the second name)
*faints dramatically on the divan*
First of, I wouldn’t name my baby that starts with letter ‘A’. There are too many ‘A’s in my own family so I want to break from tradition. For the female, ‘Fressia’ sounds like Mr. Freeze’s daughter or that ugly super villain in Dragonball Z anime. =P
Just leave the naming to me, please.

P.S. There’s got to be some sort of celebration. An online game, perhaps? T, wanna beat me? LOL.

LOL Halle Berry! This reminds me of one time during science class, and my teacher said the water plant 'elodea' has a nice name. The whole class suggested she name her baby Elodea.

I'm in a long distance relationship, too. I have been in it for about 8 months now and it sucks....I'm glad you guys were able to make it work.
