We were in Cebu for three weeks for three reasons:
The beachfront is not huge and a part of it was under renovation. The sea and sand, common in Mactan Island, is not as amazing compared to Palawan or Boracay. But they have an infinity pool and pools for kids with depth of 2-3ft.
1) visit family
2) Amber's baptismal
3) to eat Filipino food
Yay for no. 3. I soooo miss Filipino food!
While there, we spared two nights for some pure R&R at Crimson Resort & Spa in Mactan.
From its architecture, landscape and interior, everything looks amazing and well-maintained. Maybe because it is still new and as what the cart driver told us, they opened for business two years ago.
The staff, as expected in a world-class resort, are courteous and friendly. They greet the guests at every encounter.

Most hotel rooms are in bungalow type while others are in two-storey buildings --- which are strategically located at both side ends of the resort.
Our room has twin beds (LOL!) but we didn't mind though I would have preferred one with a king size bed. The toilet is huge and has a tub. In practice, I don't really use the tub because I find it a waste of water -- that's just me.
There are only three restaurants/cafe and they serve the same menu. I wish there were some variety of restos though but to be fair, their breakfast buffet has a lot of delicious food selection.
Overall, it's a lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I love the photos of you and your little princess.
About twin beds, I hate them. LOL. I like to snuggle.
Haven't been to Cebu but I'd really love to visit it next year.
good thing i stumble upon your blog. i booked crimson too for our anniversary in december. i hope my 15month baby boy will like the swimming pool and for my husband to like the food.
@Lizzie, thanks! You should visit Cebu someday.
@Ayen, Like i mentioned in my post, they have pools with depth of 2-3 feet. Your little one will surely enjoy it.
Gah, Amber is so cute.
